Operation Christmas Child

We are proud to participate in Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Ministry for the last 20+ years.

"The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations."

Calvary cartoned and delivered 3213 boxes to the collection center.
That is an increase of 161 from last year. Join us in praying for each and every box
as they are put into the hands of children around the world

Item Collecting

We collect items all year long and organize them for our large packing party in September

Fundraising

Two offset the shipping costs, we hold two church yard sales. The sales are held during the Spring and Fall Clean Sweeps that Bowling Green organizes.
We also hold a desert auction in the Fall. The congregation makes delicious sweets and baked goods to be auctioned off throughout the evening.

Box Packing

In September we hold a large, church wide, packing party. We typically pack 500-1000 boxes during this party.
Our WMU ladies and children's Sunday School classes also pack boxes on a smaller scale.

Collection Point

Calvary has been a drop off site since 2003
in 2024 we collected 3052 boxes, cartoned and delivered them to the Fredericksburg collection center during National Collection week in November
